Oh to wander: Cloud installation by Mason Studio.

Poets and other types of dreamers have looked at clouds and somehow wished they could be touched, or perhaps they could wander with them.

This dream is explored with this installation designed by the Canadian design firm Mason Studio. They have created a field of clouds for the Toronto Design Offsite Festival 2013.

The clouds are made of tissue paper and have lights inside them. Visitors to the exhibition interact with the installation by triggering passive infra-red sensors (PIR) that create different lighting effects. The tissue paper flutters in the draft and the soft light emitted by the structures is suggestive of the quality of diffuse sunlight passing through the stuff of dreams.
