Overflowing: JOKI bench: by Kayiwa

In Finnish JOKI means river. It is the flow of the river that has inspired the form of this piece. Designed by Lincoln Kayiwa, each bench is of four pieces although, like its namesake, it can flow on, over as many modules as you please.
The JOKI bench is made from birch ply and is 3.15m long, 0.57m high and 1.005m wide. It weighs 250kg.
It is finished in a dark, lustrous lacquer.
