Plaster Insulation
A total of 246 new rental apartments have been built at Postplatz in Dresden. Apart from two new buildings, a renovated existing building, the former post-office directorate, is also part of the project. Architect Ingo Pott drew up the plans for the renovation including for the addition of two floors. For the thermal insulation of the building envelope, the planners decided on internal insulation in the form of the highly insulating lightweight plaster Akurit Putztechnik Tri-o-therm M from Sievert. Within two weeks, the entire wall surfaces representing an area of almost 1000 m2 were insulated with a total layer thickness of 60 mm. The purely mineral, EPS- and aerogel-free light plaster has very low thermal conductivity due to a combination of high-strength hard perlites with a specially-developed and patented air-entraining agent and stabiliser.
