Inspired by the crystalline structure of quarts, Greek design studio CTRLZAK working with Davide Barzaghi has created this armchair as a room set piece.
The design creates timber frames that are pentagonal and hexagonal in form, and assembles these into a double curving surface of about a third of a sphere.
Each cushion resembles the extruded hole of the frame into which it fits. Some are removable. At the base, the “cushions” form legs to support the entire structure. Upholstery is in three muted tones, a dark grey, and two blues producing a field of colour effect.
Gratitude to Beautiful Life.
