red dot design concept award for Donghee Suh’s Octopus
There are many complicated ways of trying to keep the wires of your earphones from always getting tangled up – but this one seems really clever and practical....
That's why Donghee Suh received the red dot award: design concept 2011 for Octopus in Singapore at the end of November. He simply fitted a silicone suction cup on one side of each earbud.
The earbud suction cups can be stuck to the screen of iPhone, iPod etc. and the cables wrapped neatly around the device. If the earbuds are not needed for a little while, they can be attached to each other behind the neck, securing the cables like a necklace. A great idea that will hopefully be realised soon!
