Robust Fitting for Showcase Nursery

Durable, robust and resource-saving. In line with the concept for a new kindergarten on the site of a former clinic in Marburg, Opus Architekten from Darmstadt chose solutions from Grohe for the kitchen and bathroom. In the children's sanitary rooms Eurostyle Cosmopolitan fittings were used for the washstands, while Essence was used for the kitchens. Thanks to the Grohe StarLight technology for a lasting shine and Grohe SilkMove for consistently smooth operation, these fittings are able to permanently withstand high stresses.
Opus Architekten and ee Concept realised the kindergarten in the Plus-Energie standard. It is located in a listed landscape park next to a conspicuous clearing. The two-storey building is built into the slope, so both floors are accessible at ground level and the children have direct access to the outside from all rooms. Due to the exposed location of the building, photovoltaics were chosen as the energy source. Room-high windows allow an unobstructed view of the surrounding park and reflect the landscape. The transition between the exterior and interior is smooth. The rooms and furniture were designed by the architects from spruce three-layer panels in varying shades of green.
