Sandy Rendel Architects
Sandy Rendel Architects was founded by Sandy Rendel in London in 2010. The Slot House was a joint project he designed together with his wife Sally Rendel. It is separated only by a wall directly next their own terraced house: a former clubhouse for a cycling club, which they have converted into a single-family home. The firm’s commissions are mainly in residential construction, whether in the countryside or residual urban lots in London. In the course of their work, they have developed particular expertise in identifying opportunities for innovative architecture, even on difficult sites, and in fully exploiting the potential of the context to create friendly, atmospheric spaces. Sandy Rendel Architects was named RIBA South East Emerging Practice of the Year in 2017.
