The name says it all: Till the Cows Come Home is the name of a slow-food restaurant found in a shipping container.
This eatery, which opened for its first season in Berlin Mitte in 2014, offers the most space for hungry diners in the nicer part of the year, when people can sit outside on the terrace. Naturally, this time of year usually ends when the cows come home from their Alpine pastures. Further inspiration for the name came from the cows themselves, who take the time to graze, which conforms to the epicurean principles of Slow Food. However, this restaurant will offer exclusively vegetarian dishes.
In a classic shipping container designed by Natalie Viaux and decorated in Norwegian birch furniture with copper accents, the theme of the Alpine meadow is carried through with fitting pictures. Currently, the restaurant is taking a winter break, but soon the cows will be heading up to the meadows again!
