spaceshop Architekten

Benno Aeschlimann, Stefan Hess, and Reto Mosimann founded spaceshop Architekten in 1998 after studying at the University of Applied Sciences in Biel and working with Professor Marc Hausammann. Hanspeter Stauffer and Olaf Dolfus joined in 2003 and 2006, respectively. The practice has since grown to a team of 16. With a deliberate focus on the Bern, Biel, and Solothurn region, the team accompanies projects closely from feasibility studies and detailed planning through to execution and commissioning. A major emphasis lies on existing buildings of all eras and uses, which they regard as valuable cultural, environmental, and economic resources. In dialogue with clients, consultants, and authorities, the architects develop context-specific, tailored solutions. One example is their renovation of the Solothurn school complex.
