Spanish Architect Alberto Campo Baeza wins top award.
The Spanish Architect, Alberto Campo Baeza, has been awarded this year's Arnold W. Brunner memorial prize. The prize is handed down by the American Academy of Arts and Letters to architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture as art.
Alberto Campo Baeza is a Professor at the Madrid School of Architecture but has also taught in many prestigious schools including EHT in Zurich and the CUA in Washington.
“He believes in Architecture as a built idea. And he claims that the two main components of Architecture are gravity that builds space and light that builds time.”
