Stainless Flat Roof Gutters and Downpipes

The drainage of flat roofs often poses a challenge in terms of building physics and design. While hard roofing materials such as clay tiles or metals are used for pitched roofs, soft materials such as bitumen, PCV or EPDM are used for flat roofs. On contact with water, these can release sulphurous substances, which on gutters and downpipes oxidise to form rust. With Rainline, Scandinavian manufacturer Lindab has steel gutters and downpipes in its range that are provided on both sides with a passivation layer, a primer and an HBP topcoat coating. These represent an alternative to products made of copper, plastic or stainless steel. Currently available in 13 colours, the drainage system can be adapted to the facade design.
