Ted’A Arquitectes
After completing their studies at the ETSA Vallés in Sant Cugat near Barcelona, Irene Pérez and Jaume Mayol established TEd’A Arquitectes in Mallorca. While the studio’s work centres primarily on single-family homes in the Balearic Islands and Catalonia, they have also secured commissions abroad through competitions in Switzerland and Belgium – such as the school building in Orsonnens. Guided by the principle “Evolution is better than revolution”, the practice places strong emphasis on the use of regional resources, materials, and typologies. This philosophy also underpins the design of the detached house Ca na Catalina i en Joan in Llubí on Mallorca. Pérez and Mayol have taught at institutions including the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, the University of Stuttgart, TU Graz, and TU Mu- nich. Jaume Mayol currently serves as a faculty member at the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio.
