The 27th London Original Print Fair
It is not about the Queen but this image by Andy Warhol seems an appropriate way to sell the London Original Print Fair 2012 in the year of her diamond jubilee. The fair itself is the 27th and this year gives a special tribute to Sir Peter Blake as part of his 80th birthday celebrations.
Blake is a dedicated printmaker and although his paintings sell sell for thousands, he believes that art should be accessible to all. For most of us, acquiring a print is the nearest we will ever come to owning a work by a great master such as Lucian Freud, Damien Hirst or even Picasso – all of which will have original prints for sale this year.
