Apple have been showing off this week. Press reports of its new operating system for the iPhone, iOS 7, are all over the internet. It is the first software project under the creative direction of Jonathan Ive, the company's designer in chief . But less reported is the the new Mac Pro pictured here.
The new machine is housed in a sleek black cylinder and is said to be just an eighth the size of the previous generation. Its flash memory is two times faster, and its processor is two times more powerful. For the first time ever the machine ships with two graphics processing units (GPU).
Perhaps the single biggest change is that the machine is assembled entirely in the USA.
The
Mac Pro will be released later this year.
