In his article, the author attempts to explain the growing popularity of the ornament in contemporary architecture, looking specifically at the projects of 'Ricola' (Mulhouse) and 'CaixaForum' (Madrid) from Herzog and de Meuron, as well as the artist house in Scharans from Valero Olgiatti.
