The Status of German Architecture Abroad - Three Statements

When leafing through international architectural journals one hardly receives the impression that the quality of German architecture is of a low standard. Time and time again, however, one hears that German architecture is considered boring and that no renowned “stars” of international standing can be found. What is the true status of German architecture? Reactions and answers to this question by foreign critics and editors from Austria, Finland and Poland are the themes of this issue.
