Three-dimensional puzzle: Pop-up house by TallerDE2

Photo: Miguel de Guzman
Whenever singletons and couples move into small spaces once occupied by families of three or four, opportunities emerge for designing new living concepts. A remodelling project on Madrid’s Avenida de Valladolid has exploited all possibilities in exacting detail. TallerDE2 Arquitectos first gutted this old, somewhat poky four-room apartment from the 1950s. They then used light build-ins to reorganize the spatial arrangement.
