A touch of eco-chic is the theme behind this concept from the Moscow design collective, Lebedev Studio. The dial of the wristwatch is made from a delicate section of a young tree. The rings of each season's growth marking the passing of time, as years. The hands, made from splinters of wood, mark the passing of hours and minutes.

The idea of wearing a piece of sawn timber appealed to Kirill Lebedev as a device to attract curiosity. Then, on close inspection, would it be revealed as a functioning wristwatch.
