University Library in Rostock

The new library for eight engineering and natural science faculties is laid out to an L-shaped plan, rather like an opened book standing on end. Internally, the dominant materials are smooth-faced concrete and wood. The reading places are separated from the areas for books by an open space that extends over the height of the building.
