Vacuum Insulation Systems - Possible Applications and Design Consoderations

Vacuum insulation systems are becoming more and more noticeable in the field of construction. A particular advantage is their minimal cross sections while remaining economically viable. The core material is based upon opaque systems with porous insulating cores enveloped with synthetic composite membranes or stainless steel sheeting. The panels are, however, extremely susceptible to damage and require a level of care in manufacture and assembly which should not be underestimated.
