Visitor centre on Trollstigen Plateau

Steep rock walls, blue-green fjords, thundering waterfalls and crystal-clear lakes attract many visitors to the west coast of Norway every summer. Since 1998, eighteen carefully selected scenic roads – the Norwegian Tourist Routes – are being subjected to subtle architectural interventions. A visitor centre with restaurant and exhibition area is now located on the famous Trollstigen (Troll Ladder) pass road.
