Issue 10.2022

Light for Daily Life

Our October issue is all about light and interiors. PPAG’s school in Vienna brings daylight into deep cluster spaces to foster daily well-being. At Leyton House in London, McMahon Architecture drew inspiration from Mexican architecture and integrated two patios that direct natural light into the basement. At the new mosque in Ljubljana by Bevk Perović Arhitekti, the glass facade is covered by a steel lattice, which filters sunlight into the interior. Meanwhile, Mario Cucinella has made skillful use of artificial lighting at his new church in Calabria. Voluminous folds of translucent fabric act as diffusers for an almost mystical ambiance. Enjoy the issue! Sandra Hofmeister
