Mineral Concrete Glazes by Keim

Photo: Keim

The shell of the building consists of insulating concrete. However, since its surface homogeneity wasn’t guaranteed to the extent required by the planners, it had to be reworked with a glaze. Grey shifts had to be adjusted, the concrete brightened, edges resharpened, damage repaired and finally the filled anchor holes in the formwork concealed. For this, Berliner Betonlasur AG used the slightly white pigmented mineral glaze Concretal from Keim and applied it with brushes. The hydrophobing was followed by three glazes to level out the differences in brightness on the surface.
