Hybrid Laboratory Building

Foto: ADK Modulraum

ADK Modulraum from Neresheim recently built a two-storey laboratory building with a gross floor area of 843 m² for the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Within just a few weeks, the 14 modules were built in the factory with a maximum degree of prefabrication in timber hybrid construction. The technical equipment was supplied by leading manufacturers of laboratory and cleanroom technology, and the construction time on site was just four months. Due to the flexibility of the construction system, the modules can be individually dismantled and re-erected at another location on the campus if required. In Covid times such as these, modular construction can offer high-quality solutions at short notice, especially for laboratories and hospitals.
