Mobile Intensive Care Units

The basic structure is formed by units supplied by Toutenkamion, which otherwise produces medical solutions for trucks, semi-trailers and containers. Weatherproof materials that also meet the necessary fire-protection requirements were chosen for the intensive-care unit modules. The mobile structures are quickly ready for use and can be transported between different locations if required. Siemens supplied the technologies that are responsible for power distribution, building management, fire protection, safety, air treatment, production and distribution of gases, and dialysis. The specialist partner companies ATA Médical, Novair and Baxter also contributed to the technological equipment, while Intérop also worked on the construction.

The units consist of five rooms: a nursing ward, a pharmacy, a technical office, a storage area for biomedical equipment and a cleaning area. Optionally, staff rooms can be included. The stations function autonomously and thus relieve the hospital’s mains supply. Other diagnostic functions can also be integrated, and in the long term use in hospital construction projects is also conceivable.
