New ETAs for Wood Construction Elements

European Technical Assess­ments (ETAs) are now available for the Best wood CLT and Best wood CLT Box ceiling systems from Best wood Schneider. These replace the previously valid approvals and at the same time include a number of innovations: The closed CLT box ceiling is now approved from a total height of 220 mm and is thus available with lower ceiling thicknesses than before. In addition, further product tests have demonstrated the higher performance of the Best wood CLT elements in terms of modulus of elasticity. From now on, this can also be taken into account in static ­calculations. The Best wood CLT box is a hollow box element consisting of two cross laminated timber boards with ribbed timber glued in-between. Its further development, the CLT Box – Ceiling FS, also has integrated sound insulation in the compartments, which provides improved impact sound insulation in the low-frequency range.
