Our Favourites: Three Transparent Office Buildings by MVRDV
The colourful renovation of their own office environment in Rotterdam, the square office building "Salt" in Amsterdam and the transformation of a former factory in Hong Kong.
With the MVRDV House, the architects are giving their own working environment a makeover. In an industrial building in Rotterdam, they design a literally colourful mix of open and closed spaces. The office as a small city clarifies and promotes creative processes and becomes a second home where people live, eat and of course work together.
Location: Achterklooster 7, 3011 RA Rotterdam (NL)
In the new "Salt" office building by MVRDV, flexibly divisible, loft-like spaces are let to smaller companies from the creative industries.

Every employee in this office building in Hong Kong - 133 Wai Yip Street - has a clear view (gets the full picture) - at least in the (literal) sense of the (expression) word: the building, a former factory, was completely gutted and clad with glass and stainless steel.
