Titanium Zinc Patina

The Three Square House in Finland by Studio Puisto Architects is striking on account of the smooth transitions between the roof and facade. The building envelope made of titanium zinc from Rheinzink is skillfully combined with wood in the single-family house and replaces traditional roof tiles. The robust material does not require any maintenance or corrosion protection. It is characterised by its durability and is available in a wide range of finishes and varied surface effects.

In addition to the classic bright-rolled zinc surface, which develops a natural patina through wind and rain, there are also blue-grey and slate-grey surfaces that have already been preweathered ex works. Even darker is the Granium basalte colour, and Prismo displays the texture typical of zinc along with a transparent coloured glaze. Depending on the roof pitch angle, the roofing is planned as a double standing seam or angled standing seam system. The titanium zinc panels can be precisely aligned to the shape of the building thanks to their filigree fold lines and individually-executed panel widths. The roof rhombus system is suitable for large roofs.
