Wallpapering System for Wet Rooms
The Decor system for wet rooms from Mapei now renders glass-fibre, vinyl and non-woven wallpapers waterproof and suitable for use in bathrooms, including in shower areas in hotels or fitness studios that are in permanent use. The heart of the product is the one-component adhesive Ultrabond Eco Decor Wet based on silylated polymers. It can be used on all substrates and after hardening is moisture- and temperature-resistant. It is rounded off with Mapecoat Decor Protection, a transparent polyurethane coating that seals the wallpaper and simplifies cleaning. For levelling work on existing ceramic and natural coverings, the fast-drying cement levelling compound Planiprep Contract can be used. The system also includes Mapegum WPS, a flexible dispersion sealant with a sealing tape and special moulded parts for internal and external corners and pipe penetrations.
