Bord Architectural Studio
Bord Architectural Studio emphasises sustainability and environmental responsibility, a commitment reinforced by its in-house divisions for HVAC engineering and landscape architecture, which anchor its integrated eco-conscious design approach. The practice was founded in 2006 by Péter Bordás, three years after completing his architecture degree at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Headquartered in Budapest, it now has branches in Debrecen and Zurich. A former BMX racer and passionate athlete, Bordás has since guided numerous large-scale commissions, among them Nagyerdei Stadium and the Aquaticum Spa in Debrecen, as well as a number of wineries. After Etyeki Kúria near Budapest and Holdvölgy in Mád, the Sauska Tokaj Winery followed – situated in the Unesco-listed Tokaj-Hegyalja region. This project exemplifies the harmonious integration of architecture into the hilly vineyard landscape.
