Fineo vacuum double glazing consists of two glass panes, at least 3 mm thick, each with a highly insulating coating and separated from each other by a vacuum layer of 0.1 mm layer thickness. With a Ug value of 0.4 to 0.7 W/(m²K) it insulates better than, or just as effectively, as a much heavier triple glazing.
Moreover, the fineness of the vacuum glazing increases light transmission. In addition, the new development, which is marketed under the name Fineo, will be differentiated from other glass products through its aesthetic characteristics; it does not require a visible evacuation opening.
Fineo can be combined with solar control, sound insulation and safety glass, is equally suitable for new buildings (commercial and residential real estate) and renovations – a potential growth market in Europe. The production starts in April 2019.
