Franz&Sue

Christian Ambos, Erwin Stättner, Michael Anhammer, Robert Diem, and Harald Höller (pictured left to right) met while studying architecture at Vienna University of Technology. In 2017, they merged their two independent studios to found Franz & Sue. They have since realized numerous projects, which stand out with their clear and minimalist architectural language. With their team of some 80 people, the architects are focussing on educational, residential, and office buildings. Currently they are developing the lead design for the U5 metro line in Vienna, and are responsible for the planning and design of a new campus in Nuremberg for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria. They received the Cultural Prize of Lower Austria for their urban complex in Vienna’s Sonnwendviertel neighbourhood, where they have also set up their own office.
