While some of the sports centres are already in use, the Gimnasio Vertical is still being built. The construction is a type of "urban building block", which can then be adapted via standardised building plans to fit different situations.

What is often forgotten in traditional urban planning straight from the drawing board is very much the focus of Urban-Think Tank: the residents' social community; dilution of social tensions; and the security of certain basic needs that form part of a cultural way of life. While Alfredo Brillembourg and Hubert Klumpner had previously only worked in the slums of Caracas with Urban-Think Tank, they are now developing their first projects in Sao Paulo and plans for working in India and Europe are taking shape. As professors of urban planning at ETH Zurich, they would like to further expand the exchange of the cities of the north and south in an academic arena.
