UAE Pavilion by Santiago Calatrava

Twenty-eight moveable wings form the roof of Santiago Calatrava’s UAE Pavilion for Expo 2020 in Dubai. In just three minutes, these can be completely opened and positioned at an angle between 110 and 125 degrees. The pavilion of the United Arab Emirates is inspired by the falcon, the country's heraldic animal. Two videos guide you through the sensational building and show the function of the "wings" in time-lapse.
