HARQUITECTES
Harquitectes is an architectural office established in 2000 and based in Sabadell near Barcelona. All four partners, David Lorente Ibáñez, Josep Ricart Ulldemolins, Xavier Ros Majó and Roger Tudó Galí, studied at the ETSA Vallès, where Ulldemolins and Galí teach today. Majó teaches at the ETSA Barcelona. Their work has gained them recognition and awards, both for buildings they have implemented and for their competition designs. Their motto is: “complex, not complicated”. Thanks to its great storage mass, their new single-storey brick house near Barcelona manages without air conditioning and is impressive for the simplicity and clarity of its design.
