François Massin Castan is a lecturer in architectural theory and practice at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Nantes (ENSA). In 2022, he founded Atelier du Ralliement. Based in a converted bar in Nantes, the studio focuses on the sensitive transformation of existing fabric, particularly single-family houses. The studio focuses on resource-efficient, cost-effective solutions utilising bio-based materials and flexible construction. The Toue Cabanée project was realised by Massin Castan in collaboration with Clémence Mansons. A graduate of ENS Nantes, Mansons believes that our built environments are fundamental to our wellbeing.
