Zarcola Architetti
Federico Zarattini (right) and Edoardo Giancola (left) founded their Milan studio in 2018, its name combining both their surnames. Their pavilion-like timber-lath structures explore the aesthetics of construction and material use, while their refurbishment and extension of historic stone houses favour traditional techniques that create continuity with the existing fabric rather than contrast. Zarcola’s award-winning Casa Larun brings together this experience with both timber-lath structures and traditional natural-stone techniques.
